The battery,solar panel,led fixture and controller are the main parts which decide the quality of the outside solar powered lights.No doubt, the lithium battery will be more and more widely used in the future.

The lithium battery are the main parts which deside the life-span and lighting time of the solar powered led lamp.Lithium iron phosphate Battery ( LiFePO4) and MnNiCo ternary battery (LiMn2O4) are the two types lithium battery which are used in the street light solar system.

According to the specification,LiFePO4 Batterys are used in most of the countrys because of the life-span and working temperature.LiMn2O4 battery will be dangerous in most area in summer.And to some cold area such as Canada, we advice use LiMn2O4 battery.To make the long life span , we can use later capacity of the LiMn2O4 battery.

Fully charged

The use of 0.2 C5A constant current charging, when the battery voltage reaches 3.65V, instead of constant voltage charging, the charging current is gradually reduced, until the charging current is less than or equal to 0.01 C5A, setting the charging time is 8 hours.

Cycle Life

After 2000 cycles of charge and discharge, the discharge capacity is measured with 0.2 C5A discharge current and 2.0V cut-off voltage.

 

Short circuit Characteristics

A fully charged battery, is to be connected with the thermocouple  in a fume hood, short circuit of positive and negative ( total line resistance is less than 100 mΩ ), test process, monitoring the cell temperature, when the temperature dropped to about 10℃lower than the peak value, ended test.

Over-charge Characteristics

The battery is charged at a 3 C5A constant current with a voltage limit of 4.8V for 8 hours after fully charged

Over-Discharge Characteristics

The battery is discharged to termination voltage, then the external 30Ω for 24h after fully charged at 20±5℃
